Disclaimer
A short statement of what ACARO is and is not. The full terms live on the Terms of Use page; data handling is covered by the privacy policy.
We do not provide investment advice
ACARO is software, not an adviser. Nothing on the website, in the applications, in the documentation or in support materials is investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing is an offer to buy or sell any asset.
We do not assess whether a particular strategy, instrument or position size suits you, and we know nothing about your financial situation. Decisions to buy, sell and hold are yours — made, where appropriate, with a qualified professional, which we are not.
ACARO is not an exchange or a broker
We are not an exchange, a broker, a bank, a payment service or an asset manager. We do not take funds under management, do not hold your crypto and do not trade on our own behalf at your expense.
We provide a technical solution that you run on your own server and connect to your own exchange account using API keys you create yourself. We hold no keys, we have no access to your account, and the trading loop does not pass through our servers: if the ACARO website is unavailable, running trading continues. Trades are executed by the exchange on its own terms.
The software works autonomously: once given your parameters, it opens and closes positions on its own, without asking for confirmation of every trade. What to run, at what size and when to stop is up to you, and a position can always be closed on the exchange side.
Backtest and parameter search results are hypothetical
Backtests and parameter searches are computed on historical data with simulated order execution. You define the range the search runs over, and you decide whether to apply the parameters it finds to live trading.
Simulated performance has inherent limitations and must not be read as actual returns. Past results do not predict future ones: fees, slippage, liquidity, latency and exchange outages change the outcome. Parameters selected on past data may behave differently on new data.
Trading crypto assets and derivatives carries a high risk, up to the loss of all funds committed; borrowed funds magnify both profit and loss. Risk only what you are prepared to lose.
