RWAs matter not only because real assets can be issued as tokens. The main 2026 shift is the attempt to connect asset rights, custody, settlement, liquidity and DeFi tools into one infrastructure layer. Users should evaluate what stands behind the token, not only the token wrapper.
Tokenized collectibles need provenance because the value of a real object depends on origin, authenticity, storage, appraisal and ownership rights. A blockchain can record ownership or transfer, but it does not automatically prove that the object exists, is genuine or is available to the token holder.
